How wonderful to see the smiles. What a cutie!!
Oh, I feel for you! Toddler fits are like nothing I have ever experienced. Especially when it's your own toddler. Eliza has entered the full-blown tantrum phase and it isn't pretty. I'll give my usual advice...hang in there!Tiffany
Enjoy the last days in Nanning. It will always hold a special place for your family.Holy moley...Channing is so smart! Writing her name! Keep smilin!
Glad to hear today was better. Channing has the most beautiful smile and it was so nice to see more of it today. Will be praying for all of you as you head to Beijing tomorrow. Especially Channing as she leaves David.
Everything looks so beautiful! I really want to go the country when I go to China too! Channing sounds like she is warming up, that's nice! I really hope all goes well with you tomorrow. I think you're right, it will be easier for her to attach to you when David isn't there. Even if she will miss him. Praying for her grieving to be short and not too painful....Janet
It looks really beautiful there. Glad to hear that Channing is starting to bond with you!!Cari
Yahoo, more smiles! She certainly has a lovely smile. I can't believe that she's writing her name. You've got one smart little girl there. They are often the most stubborn. Hang in there.Karen
oh, it must be so hard for her being older. She must be so confused. Such a sweet little thing! Channing will come around with all the love you are giving her. You make a beautiful family!!!!!!!
We adopted our DD from Guangxi in Nov 06 (Thanksgiving) and also had David for our guide. He is wonderful! We miss him so very much. You are in good hands with him. You daughter is beautiful. Congrats!MendyDD Hua Ru Yan (Yulin 1st)p.s. tell David we said hello. He should remember us~
I've been away and am finally getting caught up with blogs etc. I'm so thrilled to see Channing with you at long last. What a cutie. I'm glad things are gradually getting better - baby steps in the right direction. It's so nice to see pictures of her smiling. A huge congrats! Good luck with the flight.Paula
David sounds just wonderful!!! I have heard that sometimes children have difficulty with men and won't go to their new papa's but it looks like Channing doesn't have this problem which is great!! Will be thinking of you tomorrow!! I was showing my close friends at work your blog and they are just amazed at how incredible you are with your new daughter. Lots of complements for how beautiful you both are too!!
She is truly beautiful.........hope things will get easier for the little angel with each passing day.
I am so sorry to hear that Channing is having such a rough time but the good side of that is she is working through the grief. It is so hard to watch as the mom, grandad or grandmom. I know I was there too. Glenys totally loved her GongGong too.David is kinda cute, you can drop him off in Memphis, it is as hot as Nanning, I remember that too.Beverly
Looks like things are getting a bit better and C. looks more relaxed with the exception of the 1st pic. I am so impressed the she can write Chinese at age 3! Amazing! And she sits so nicely at the dinner table feeding herself. Thank you for sharing all the lovely photos. Are you finding some nice mementos in the shops? You are probably amongst the rice fields about now, though it's Thurs. night here. Happy travels to Beijing.
Glad Channing is attaching to Mama already! At least she is showing emotion and is not shut down - even if it isn't always fun for Mama!
Hi Kim! You guys are doing great! Its hard at times though I'm sure! Good luck on the way to Beijing!
Kim, I'm so happy to see she's starting to settle in some. She is absolutely beautiful!!!
So happy to hear that today (or I guess yesterday technically) went better and that Channing is doing well. She is so beautiful Kim, her pictures bring tears to my eyes! I'm praying that she'll have some peaceful time with you and begin the journey of attachment!
How was your day on Friday? You should be back in Beijing by now. How did Channing enjoy her first plane ride?
She is so beautiful. I love her fierce spirit, it will get her through all her trials.
Is she seriously writing in Chinese? How amazing! She is so cute!Barb
