Holiday Train

Yesterday my family & I got to go for a ride on the CPR Holiday Train. The train was decorated with more than 100,000 lights and came complete with performances from Wide Mouth Mason, Lisa Brokop & Santa.
Every December the train travels across Canada and parts of the US to help out local food banks.


This is where we rode!!




My brother works for CPR so that is how we got the tickets. It is such a beautiful site to see the train all lit up with the lights. We had to drive 2 hours to meet the train. Once on the train our ride was 1 hour and 15 minutes long (Broadview to Indian Head). It was my first ride ever on a train and it was awesome. My nephew Hunter was sooo excited to ride "James", he pretty much was vibrating with excitment the whole way.

Below is the train when it was in the Moose Jaw yard lastnight. It doesnt show the actual beauty of all the lights, my camera is stuck on some terrible settings...sorry!!

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon......
