Day 3- Sewing Starts!!

Lastnight was Day 3 on making Channing's quilt. Randee picked me up, we had supper on the way out to the lake and then once we got to Brenda's it was 3 hours in high gear!! I had no idea how fast everything starts coming together once you get the sewing machine humming!! WOW....with 135 squares, its gonna be a pretty big quilt. The only thing with collecting soooo many squares is your limited to what you can do and what you cant do. The pattern I picked out wouldnt work, the other fav's could work, but I would loose so much of the squares. So I opted to just go with the traditional squares, that way I can see the patterns. So many of my squares had great patterns it made no sense to cut them so you couldnt see them.

Anyways, just a few pictures of Randee sewing, Brenda cutting and of course that's me ironing (doesnt happen often)....





And here is some pieces sewn together so far....all I can say is its going to be an interesting looking quilt!! But I think thats what makes it soooo special!!!
