Chinese Cultural Camp

Yesterday I attended a Chinese Cultural Camp in Regina for families who have adopted or are in the process of adopting from China. It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. At the gathering we were entertained by the Chinese Dance School who performed a number of dances, we learnt how to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Chinese, got to enjoy some Chinese pasteries and of course got to see all the adorable little girls run around. They also had a craft table set-up for the kids to do some Chinese crafts & color.
One of the biggest reasons why I wanted to start attending these gatherings before I have Channing home, is to meet all the wonderful families that I communicate with..either by phone, email or blog/websites. Yesterday I got to meet 2 ladies that I have chatted with a number of times who are both from Regina. One is Sherry-Lou (her husband Liam had to work, so I'll meet him next time) and Kim (her husband Terry and son Mitchell was also there). Nice meeting you both and I look forward to the many more events coming & of course our play dates with our GIRLS!!
Cory, her daughter Quinn and I made the trek from Moose Jaw. It is so nice to have someone so close to travel and attend these events with. Our next FCA will be the Chinese New Year's gathering in Saskatoon in February.
