This afternoon my LOA/Letter Seeking Confirmation from the Adopter arrived. My Social Worker called and I ran right down....the letter is so cool it gave me "good" shivers!!! I asked for a photocopy of the letter, but I guess I will receive one in the mail next week.
Also I will share this: I almost had a panic attach!! My Social Worker said "read the letter and sign it if I choose" (HELLO). Anyways, I read the letter, checked the box off that said YES I still want to adopt Channing, signed the letter and dated it. Well when I signed the letter I signed it like I would sign any letter.....my 1st initial, my middle inital and then my last name. My Social Worker said NO!!!! She said you NEVER sign a legal document like that, you always write you name.....then she said it should be fine!! Once I left the building I called my agency and they said it will be fine.......thank heavens!!! Thinking back, I think I have signed my name like this on everything adoption related!! Anyone else done this???
Now I'm due for a DRINK!!! Happy weekend everyone!!!

so happy for you and Channing - you will be together forever soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Julia:)
Are you ready for us to get on that plane? I Sooooooooooo am! I always sign with my initials and then last name. No one has told me any differently. I am going to do that for my LOA so the signatures are all the same. Dan does it that way too. Never fear, if there is a problem, we will be stuck together!
Kim,I am so happy for you!!
Congratulations!! Happy travels and especially Happy Forever Family Day! Thanks so much for all the phonecalls - I'll miss you when you are in China!
Congratulations on your LOA!!! I can't wait to follow your journey an wish you the very best of luck and safe travels. It's a journey like no other and ours was absolutely amazing. I pray that your experience is as wonderful as ours was. We loved China, but man, is it great to be home with our daughter!!jana

Happy happy joy joy!!!! Now go I'll a drink!
Yeah, i love happy posts!
Things are moving along - that's so terrific. I often sign my name with simply my first initial then my last name. I'm going to have to check all of my documentation now to see what I did! I guess it makes sense to ensure that your full first name is included too........I hadn't thought about it until now.Great news......can't wait to hear more.Paula
A celebration martini is in order!
I am simply delighted for you!!! I can't wait until you travel!
Ok. You almost panicked me for a second! Mike's name is really James Michael, but he goes by Mike & signs everything accordingly. I always worry when he does that on documents that refer to him as James - like our LOA!
Just wanted to say WOOHOO!! You are almost there - can't wait to see you and Channing together!!!
I just want to see you with Channing. It just seems like there are so many 'steps'. Our SW was very particular about the signatures on our paperwork too.
