Still counting........

Today is my 9 month LID-iversary!!!! I sure hope I dont have to count to many more months......I'm more focused on counting the days of my LOA wait..........TODAY IS DAY 74!!!

Here is an update!!! Channing is doing great in China....she currently weights 30 lbs (good think I have been buying mostly size 4 in clothes) and wears size 7 & 8 shoes (love that I got her feet measurments). She can do basic crafts, can read some Chinese characters and is doing excellent in kindergarten!!! Hopefully I will get an updated picture of her real soon!!!

I'm HOPING to get my LOA (Letter of Approval from China) in the next 2 weeks.....fingers crossed!!! Once I get that letter then I have to sign it and send it immediatley back to China. A few weeks after they get the letter back, China will send me my TA/NC (Travel Approval/Notice of Coming).......so when will I be travelling??? I still have no idea, but I'm guessing between the middle of June to the middle of July.

The past few weeks have been rough. I have been battling some flu type thingy (I think related to STRESS......do we have STRESS when your adopting???)...I'm hoping I'm on the home stretch now to recovery. I have been keeping up with everyone's blogs......but I havent been so great on keeping up with the commenting!!!

In the next few days I'm going to head to the bank and order all my $$$$$ for China. Then I will be focusing on the "shopping" for China things. I have pretty much got Channing's room ready so now I want to start on her suitcase and get her packed. I want to get everything out of the way since its summer and I want to spend as much time at the lake as possible. The goal is to have everything packed so when my TA arrives I wont have much to worry about except getting the yard cleaned and last minute things organized for while I'm gone!!!

Ohhh.....for all my bloggy pals who have laptops (Tracy).......can you give me some advice on which is the best to get. I'm breaking down and going to buy one in a few weeks......(Carol if you reading this in Florida.....I want your advice)......I'm so not computer smart and need some help!!!!

Jana said...: I STILL haven't packed a thing. I don't understand why I keep putting it off but it just seems so overwhelming to me. I've also been trying to get ready for our neighborhood yard sale which is scheduled for May 19 (in a last attempt to raise some funds before we travel), and have felt like I have to have every closet in the house cleaned out before we travel. I've taken nesting to an all new (and somewhat psycho) level!

Here's to a productive two weeks for me. May I get everything packed and may you receive LOA for your beautiful little girl!!
