14 more sleeps!!!

Its hard to believe that its been a few weeks since I posted to my blogs. Life is a little crazy right now as I'm getting ready to travel. I have been busy buying stuff for the trip, washing Channing's clothes, packing, cleaning house, coordinating stuff for when I'm gone and doing yard work here and at the lake.
So far I'm hanging in there pretty darn good. I'm slowly getting excited, I just find it hard to believe that I'M GOING TO CHINA and finally will have CHANNING IN MY ARMS in just DAYS!!! This friday is my last day at work before I start my parental leave....ahh what a feeling to have some time off. I think thats when I will start crapping my pants. And my agency said that this week I will be getting all my travel documents such as Chinese visa's, passport, plane tickets and other stuff in the mail.
The only panic I have right now is that I cannot seem to post any pictures to my blog from my MAC laptop. So there may be some problems!!! I do have a back-up plan which the wonderful Catherine will help me out from Canada, but I better start practicing emailing pictures to her. This isnt fun and I dont recommend switching computers or buying a MAC right before you travel. So if any MAC users are out there can you email me some help????? PLEASE!!!!
Last week I noticed that I leave Canada for China on August 9th.....well August 9th is my 1 year LID.....that is so cool!!!
Well thats it for now.....hopefully I can do another update with pictures in the next day or so!!!
Note to my Secret Pal......Janet!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful gift for Channing this week. I love that you were a rebel and switched the theme....the beach theme is perfect and I loved everything. I cant post pictures, but as soon as I can I will do the last 2 months. I had a feeling my SP was you....LOL!!! You spoiled Channing all year and we will treasure everything!! I cannot wait to see her play with everything, some will be coming to China!!!! HUGS!!!!

TRAVEL APPROVAL/NOTICE OF COMING

First off I want to THANK Liz for this great picture. She had posted it on her blog when she got the same exciting news and I love this froggy!!! So I hope she doesnt mind that I "borrowed" it!!!

Well today at work I got a call from Roberta at Social Services telling me that my Travel Approval/Notice of Coming has arrived from China. Today was only DAY 25 of my wait!!! This is China (CCAA) inviting me to come and pick Channing up!!! My heart started pounding.......I told her I was on my way down to pick it up!! Oh what a feeling to finally have that piece of paper in my sweet little hands!!! This is the final piece of paperwork from China that I need before I get on that plane!!! China sent me 2 copies of the letter, one is for a keepsake for Channing and the other one I have to take with me to China. In order to receive Channing I have to hand them my letter........so here's hoping I can keep it in one piece until August 13th!!!

I guess I will have a drink tonight to celebrate this final piece of the puzzle before I head to China. I'm sooooo excited, nervouse, stressed, happy and most of all I'm soooo ready to be a mom to Channing!!!! Only 37 more days and my dream will come true!!! Happy weekend everyone!!!
